A young female adult whose newborn baby has just died and whose mother died a week earlier while being treated in a traditional shrine in Manyi Sub County of Mityana District has tested positive for Ebola.
Responding to concerns raised by alert wananchi, authorities caused the testing of the woman and she turned out positive for Ebola. The patient was on Monday evacuated to Mubende Hospital for specialised management under isolation.
The district team has embarked on tracing her contacts for testing and quarantine.
