Dr Patricia Litho Bounces Back At Ministry of Energy In New Role As Assistant Commissioner For Communication
Dr. Patricia Litho, has bounced back at the Ministry of Energy in a new role as Assistant Commissioner for Communication . A PHD holder , Litho will head the communication at the time when the Ministry is supritending over some of Uganda’s biggest development projects in the energy , oil and gas sectors .
Incapable sources at the Energy ministry told ugandaupdatenews.com that Dr. Litho’s appointment followed a “thorough selection process” that positions Litho as a pivotal figure in steering the ministry’s communication strategies amidst ongoing challenges and opportunities in the energy, oil and gas sectors.
Academic Back ground :
She holds a Ph.D. in Innovation and Cultural Studies from the University of East London, a Master of Arts in Communications from Schiller International University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Makerere University. “She brings a nuanced understanding of the intricate dynamics of communication to her new role,” sources stated.
Dr. Litho previously served as the Principal Communications Officer at the Rural Electricity Agency which has since been taken back to the ministry under the on-going government rationalisation of departments and agencies .
While at REA, Litho earned accolades for her adept management of communication crises and her ability to effectively disseminate the agency’s messages to diverse stakeholders.
In her capacity as the newly appointed Assistant Commissioner of Communications, she comes with a clear vision to enhance transparency, engagement, and effectiveness in communicating the ministry’s policies and initiatives to both internal and external audiences.
The articulate Dr. Litho beat a host of other candidates to land the new posting .
