ADF Kills 10 Ugandans in Kamwenge

The UPDF has launched manhunt for a group maruading ADF bandits that attacked a village in Kamwenge district and hacked to death 10 Ugandans.
UPDF spokesman Brig.Gen. Felix Kulayigye told the media that the army has been deployed in the areas of Kamwenge forest to hunt down the fleeing ADF bandits after their at 02:00 am in the early morning of December 19, 2023, in Kyitehurizi village, Kyabandara parish, Kamwenge sub-county, Kamwenge District.
The UPDF has capabilities to trace and locate enemy forces even in dense forests as it has previously done in the jungles of DR Congo.
The deceased persons include Banyazaki Margaret, aged 60, another identified only as Tugume, a 25-year-old, and eight others yet to be identified.
Security says that preliminary findings reveal that ten assailants, armed with SMG rifles, attacked and fatally burned ten people in Kyitehurizi trading centre, Kyabandara parish, Kamwenge sub-county, located near Kibale National Park.
After the incident, the assailants proceeded to break into the store of Baguma Richard, 35 years old, and looted 300 kgs of beans, a sack of Irish potatoes, 03 trays of eggs, and 50 kgs of maize.
They also set ablaze a motorcycle Reg No. UFC 851T.
After the incident, the assailants headed towards Kibale National Park.
