Uganda’s She Cranes beat South Africa to end 5th and become Number One on African Continent in Netball World Cup
Stylish and colourful Uganda national netball team the She Cranes has finished 5th at the 2023 Netball World Cup in South Africa, becoming Africa’s number one. They beat South Africa in a hard fought match .
The She Cranes beat South Africa 49-47 in a highly billed game for the 5th-place playoff at the Cape Town International Convention Center on Sunday. The team coached by Fred Mugerwa, dominated the game after finishing on top in the opening quarter 12-11 .
UK based Ugandan forward Mary Nuba Cholhok was the player of the match after scoring 29 goals. There wide celebrations back home in Kampala and the shining She Cranes were cheered on by a big contingent of Ugandans who reside in South Africa .
