PRESIDENTS MUSEVENI ,KAGAME MEET IN NAIROBI AFTER BORDER OPENING
Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni and his counterpart Paul Kagame of Rwanda have today met in Kenya’s Capital Nairobi .
The two leaders whose were witnessing the signing ceremony for the Treaty of Accession to the East African Community by the Democratic Republic of Congo in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital. Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta who is the current chairman of the East African Community presided over the ceremony .
“I have arrived in Nairobi, Kenya for the Signing Ceremony of the Treaty of Accession to the East African Community by the Democratic Republic of Congo,” Museveni said on his twitter account.
The Nairobi meeting is the first time both leaders are meeting face to face following the reopening of the common border last month. The Presidents Museveni and Kagame last met face to face in February 2020 at the Katuna border in efforts to resume normal diplomatic relations .
