NRM GEARS UP FOR WOMEN COUNCIL ELECTIONS
The NRM Secretary General, the Rt Hon.Richard Todwong, has convened an executive meeting of Women leaders that comprise of the main stream, women Members of Parliament, District and women leaders in preparation for the forth coming women council elections. The Electoral Commission , has been updating voters register and verifying administrative units across the country in preparation for the elections slated for this year.
The purpose of the meeting summoned by the NRM Secretary General Todwong was to discuss, share and generate consensus on mobilisation strategies.
Notable among Women leaders present are the Prime Minister, Rt Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, the Third Deputy Prime minister Hon Lukia Nakadama, Members of the Central Executive Committee, NRM Women’s league Chairperson Hon Lydia Wanyoto, Chairperson for National women council Hajjat Faridah Kimbowa, as well as Secretariat top officials.
