No Working in Kampala if You are Not Vaccinated from Jan 1st 2022
The Minister of State for Kampala and Metropolitan Affairs, Kabuye Kyofatogabye has announced the deadline for unvaccinated people to be work in Kampala.
The minister chose the busy Kikubo trading hub to make the announcement.
Accompanied by the Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority, the Minister said that since the government recognizes the people’s right not to be vaccinated, it will let those who will not have taken the job by January work in other places where there is enough space and they cannot endanger others.
Minister Kabuye clarified interpreted for those who had not understood what President Yoweri Museveni meant when he said that he will open up the economy whether people are vaccinated or not come January. He clarified that the President meant that those who are vaccinated will be allowed to work in the city while those who wont will not be allowed in the city. That it is that simple.
The minister however told the traders that they should not fear to take the jab as it takes only three seconds, but it makes the difference between being able to work in Kampala or not, come January 2022.
