First lady Janet Museveni Promises To Work With Inebantu To Develop Busoga Region
The First Lady , Janet Kataha Museveni, has warmly welcomed the INEBANTU of Busoga, at State House Entebbe, calling her mother of the people.
In her remarks during the formal introduction of the INEBANTU before President Museveni and the first lady , Janet Museveni said , ‘I want to salute the INEBANTU for graciously embracing the role of serving as champion and patron of the Neyendeire group in Busoga region’
The Neyendeyire initiative is a community based organization formed by the first lady with some young NRM Cadre. It is focused on empowering women in a wholesome manner in health, wealth creation, hygiene, nutrition, parenting, spiritual life, and cultural norms.
“It is a true saying that when you equip women, you have equipped the nation. I am very delighted that Inebantu has embraced the call to be a champion for empowering the women in the Busoga region. I know that with your oversight as Inebantu, this work will continue to grow and thrive,: Janet Museveni added.
