Ex-KCCA Top Bosses; Kisaka, Luyimbazi And Dr. Okello Released On Tough Bail Conditions

Former Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) former top managers including dismissed Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka, her Deputy Eng. David Luyimbazi, and Director of Public Health and Environment, Dr. Daniel Okello, have been granted bail of Ug.Shs. 5 million cash each and Ug.Shs.100 million non-cash for each surety.
The court ordered them to surrender their passports and seek permission before leaving the country.
The three accused face 34 counts of manslaughter and 21 charges for causing harm through reckless or negligent acts.
They have denied all the charges placed against them.
They were granted bail by the Kasangati Magistrate’s Court. They have been on remand for two weeks in Luzira Prison following the August 10 Kiteezi dumpsite garbage trategy that left 34 Ugandans dead.
